Driver/Valeter
Driver/Valeter – Yeovil Depot, SIXT Van & Truck
We’re creating an exceptional opportunity for a customer-focused Driver/Valeter to join our team at the Yeovil Depot. Part of the Vehicle Hire Division, we supply light commercial vehicles to a diverse client base, from multinational corporations to public sector organisations and SMEs.
Essential to this role is maintaining our commitment to providing pristine vehicles and unparalleled customer service. You’ll be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and safely transporting our entire fleet of vans and trucks, ensuring a seamless handover experience for all customers. As a result, you’ll enjoy career growth potential and a starting salary of £27,923.87 per annum, alongside a performance-based bonus.
YOUR ROLE AT SIXT
- Ensure vehicles are meticulously prepared, cleaned, and valeted to the highest service standards for our customers
- Complete all necessary handover paperwork to guarantee smooth transitions between our teams and customers
- Manage vehicle deliveries and collections between depots, prioritising timeliness
- Conduct thorough pre-inspections for damage upon collection; identify, document, and report any issues
- Discuss and confirm any reported vehicle damage with customers, ensuring proper sign-off and notifying depot management
- Assist with refuelling operations to keep depot workflows efficient
- Demonstrate a consistently professional demeanour, representing SIXT’s premium brand, and delivering an exceptional customer experience at all times

KEY SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
- Adaptability: Thrives in fast-paced environments, able to work independently or as part of a team under pressure
- Attention to Detail: Ensures precision in vehicle inspections and handover paperwork
- Communication: Possesses strong verbal and writing skills, with a knack for positive, customer-focused interactions even in busy settings
- Flexibility: Willingness to follow shift rotations to support 24/7 depot operations
- Valid Driving License: At least 12 months’ professional driving experience
