Driver/Valet – Activate Accident Repair

Job Title: Driver/Valet Department: Activate Accident Repair Location: 1 Orpen Park, Ashridge Road, Bradley Stoke, BS32 4QD

Hours: 45 hours per week (Mon–Fri) Salary: We are proud to be a Real Living Wage Employer

About the Role

The Driver/Valet plays a key role in the timely collection, valeting, and re-delivery of customer and courtesy vehicles. Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring customers are informed of delivery/delays.
  • Conducting vehicle checks and collecting excess payments.
  • Explaining repair processes to customers.
  • Providing a high standard of customer service and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collection & Delivery:

    • Collect and return customer and courtesy vehicles on schedule.
    • Complete paperwork for claim and non-related damage and collect excess payments.
    • Treat customers professionally and efficiently.
  • Safe & Compliant Driving:

    • Drive in a safe, lawful manner, considering weather and traffic conditions.
    • Report any vehicle faults immediately.

  • Vehicle Maintenance & Cleaning:

    • Wash, vacuum, clean, and polish vehicles using approved materials and equipment.
    • Clean upholstery, carpets, and engine compartments as required.
    • Ensure vehicles meet cleaning standards to provide a first-class service experience.
  • Customers & Procedures:

    • Complete customer paperwork while ensuring vehicle and claim details are accurate.
    • Collect necessary paperwork from reception and report delays promptly.
    • Confirm any damage or cleanliness issues with the reception team.
  • Admin & Compliance:

    • Follow health and safety, housekeeping, and procedural regulations.
    • Report accidents and incidents to the Bodyshop Manager without delay.
    • Ensure safety standards are met before handing vehicles back to customers.
    • Complete fuel and driver logs, and financial procedures correctly.

Skills & Experience

  • Full driving license with the correct classification to carry out duties.
  • Experience in logistics, vehicle appraisal, and customer-facing roles.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively to meet bookings.
  • Motivated and proactive approach to responsibilities.
