About the Role

Work You’ll Do
Audit Delivery & Execution
- Participate in or lead internal audit fieldwork across FSI (Financial Services Industry) organisations.
- Evaluate internal controls against frameworks like the International Osnabrück Principles Framework (IAPF) and audit-specific methodologies.
- Support or drive risk-based audit planning, leveraging Deloitte’s tools and methodologies to collect and analyse data efficiently.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews to understand and document business processes, risk exposures, and control deficiencies.

Analysis, Documentation & Reporting
- Develop and maintain structured, precise audit working papers, findings, and supporting evidence.
- Transform complex data into clear audit observations and recommendations.
- Play a key role in workshops and presentations, communicating findings and insights to client stakeholders effectively.
Client Interaction & Advisory
- Provide actionable recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and risk mitigation.
- Build trusted relationships with client teams through strong communication and business awareness.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with subject matter experts within Deloitte to ensure robust audit execution.
- Depending on experience, mentor junior team members, review workpapers, and foster a high performance audit culture.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in internal audit, risk, finance, or advisory roles within financial institutions.
- Strong grasp of internal controls, operational risk processes, and risk mitigation methodologies.
- Analytical, communication, and writing skills are essential.
- Proficient in MS Excel (facilitate data analysis), Word (draft documentation), and PowerPoint (presentations).

Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification or progress toward CPA or CIA.
- Experience coaching junior team members to develop their audit skills.
- Exposure to data analytics or visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Alteryx, Bloomberg).

- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking to navigate complex environments.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Judgment-driven approach with client-centric service orientation.
- Competent in simplifying and explaining complex concepts to senior stakeholders in a clear manner.
