Role Description

The Dry Dock Machinist is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and fabrication of mechanical components and machinery on vessels undergoing Dry Docking. This includes propulsion systems, pumps, valves, shafts, bearings, and other marine mechanical systems.

Qualifications/Education

  • NV3/HND or equivalent required.
  • Vocational training or technical certification in Machining or Marine Engineering required.

Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a machinist in a Dry Dock or shipyard environment.
  • Proven experience working with marine propulsion systems and auxiliary equipment.
