Role Summary
Reporting to the DSC Portfolio Release Manager, the DSC Change Lead supports proactive management of industry changes and associated change communications to impacted stakeholders.
Leading engagement with customers regarding the change lifecycle, which may include internal initiatives, continuous improvement projects, strategic programme deliverables and legislative change that fall within the scope of our Data Service Contract Change Portfolio.
The DSC Change Lead works with our customers, to develop change from concept through to design. From build to implementation, assures the work undertaken by our provider ensuring the contractual obligations have been met.
Throughout the change life cycle, considers the customer perspective and working closely with Programmes & Service Delivery (P&SD) as well as other departments, to develop options and solutions by contributing to the collaborative development of the change and solution. Keeping customers updated and informed through varying communication methods.
Responsibilities
- Understand the customer’s needs throughout the end-to-end Change Lifecycle, including but not limited to, testing strategies, training and change communication documentation. Communicate these customer needs internally and present the Xoserve position externally.
- Partner with and influence key stakeholders to secure buy in to changes, manage expectations and resolve conflicts, liaising with internal teams as necessary, particularly P&SD, in line with the agreed change process.
- In line with the Customer Engagement Strategy, lead and support stakeholders in establishing appropriate success factors, to demonstrate how change initiatives link to business plans in collaboration with the P&SD team.
- Work with supplier and service managers to develop change and support on assessing impacts to services, benefit realisation and contractual changes required.
- Obtain and provide insight to customers to help them understand the potential impact of changes on their business.
- Attend industry forums, as required to lead and support customers through change. Act as liaison, facilitator and customer interface with change project teams, as required.
- Develop and implement robust engagement strategies for each project and programme through its lifecycle, with the customer experience and end result in mind.
- Provide input and advice to support the creation of quality training material that can be used to support customer readiness and project delivery activities.
- Coordinate required reporting by pulling together content. Use the insight to drive deliverables that enable effective decision making at industry forums.
- Responsible for presenting and engaging with customers at Data Service Contract (DSC) Change Management Committee (ChMC), overseeing each step of the Change Process.
- Build and maintain excellent working relationships with our internal teams and service providers to ensure the successful delivery of change to create maximum value for customers.
- Ensure and promote engagement across the P&SD team to work efficiently as one team and effectively as part of Xoserve in the industry.

Specialist/Technical Expertise
Essential
- Experience of frameworks and methodologies relating to customer engagement.
- Proven track record to effectively manage change.
- Knowledge of the industry commercial and contractual regime in which Xoserve operates.
- Approach every situation with the concerns of the customer at the forefront.
- Able to interpret complex scenarios and explain them in a clear and accessible way.
