Logistics done differently.
We are currently looking to recruit a proactive Operations Manager to join our team at our Hatfield Regional Distribution centre. Our Hatfield site employees over 400 colleagues across the Fresh Milk and Pallet operation within the warehouse and the role will play a key part in the site’s Senior Leadership Team.

The salary on offer will be up to £55,000. We also offer 25 days’ holiday, plus bank holidays, as well as the option to buy additional days. What You’ll Do On a Typical Day
- Lead, coach, manage & develop the day shift management team
- Communicate & deliver business goals, prioritising goals & activities as necessary
- Ensure compliance with company, customer & legal standards
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal & external
- Proactively participates in strategic projects
- Responsible for daily labour planning
- Ensures compliance with delivery agreements from the production sites
- Participates in projects, courses and other development activities.

What You Need To Succeed At XPO
- Experience of warehouse management, preferably within a FMCG environment
- Managing a large team and Operation
- Manufacturing experience preferable
- Health and Safety experience essential
- Training and development experience essential
- 3PL knowledge essential
- Budgetary experience essential
- Have strong people skills essential.
- Client management experience essential
- Experience of unionised site essential
- Transport knowledge preferable
- Communicate effectively at all levels
