Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to join a UKAS-accredited consultancy operating across Essex, London and the South East.

Working across a diverse portfolio of commercial, industrial, educational and public sector properties, you will be responsible for delivering asbestos surveying, air monitoring and analytical services to a high standard whilst ensuring compliance with current legislation and industry guidance.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified asbestos professional looking to join a well-established organisation with a strong reputation and ongoing investment in employee development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake Management and Refurbishment & Demolition asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264 guidance.
  • Carry out asbestos air monitoring, including leak testing and four-stage clearances.
  • Issue Certificates of Reoccupation following successful clearance procedures.
  • Conduct bulk sampling and material assessments.
  • Produce accurate survey reports and analytical documentation.
  • Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, site personnel and members of the public.
  • Ensure all works are completed in accordance with company procedures and UKAS requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times.
  • Support wider operational activities and assist with the continued growth of the regional team.

  • BOHS P402 – Surveying and Sampling Strategies for Asbestos in Buildings.
  • BOHS P403 – Asbestos Fibre Counting.
  • BOHS P404 – Air Sampling and Clearance Testing.
  • Previous experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst.
  • Strong knowledge of current asbestos legislation and guidance.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working across commercial, industrial and public sector properties.
  • UKAS-accredited consultancy experience.
  • Experience producing technical asbestos reports.
  • Additional asbestos qualifications.
  • Strong client-facing skills.
