Dual Fuel Engineer – Yü Group
Department: General Engineers (YUS - FT13) Location: Darlington Compensation: £43,260 per year (realistic earning potential of £50,000–£55,000 with targeted bonus)

The Role
Key Responsibilities
Elite Engineers (Dual Fuel + Warrant Matters)
- Conduct friendly debt resolution visits to support customers.
- Alternate between on-site Warrant engineering and Warrant Officer roles (always supported—never solo).
Non-Elite (Dual Fuel Only)
- Focus exclusively on technical metering installation, exchanges, commissioning, removal, and maintenance, including:
- Electricity (1/3 Phase and Demand доказка)
- Gas (CT umfang, MET4 + U16-40 misl Qualifikation)
- Safety-first approach to all installations and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, metering standards (e.g., CMA1/CCN1, MET1), and company procedures.
- Customer-first mindset—deliver professional, friendly interactions aligned with Yü’s values.
- Ownership of stock, tools, and company vehicles.
- Collaborate with colleagues and management to meet team & business targets.

Key Requirements
To thrive at Yü, you’ll need:
- Technical skills:
- Proven experience as a Smart Metering Dual Fuel Engineer.
- Industry qualifications: CMA1/CCN1 + MET1 (or equivalent).
- Certified Electrical knowledge: Certificate in Power (Logic or equivalent).
- Soft skills:
- Customer focus—bond well with businesses to resolve issues and build trust.
- Compliance mindset—strict adherence to HS&E, metering standards, and company policies.
- Proactive—willing to maximise skill progression into areas like Half-Hourly, CT, and Gas beyond U16.
- Operational requirements:
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ready to work nationally (Darlington-based, but travel will be required).
- Pass a DBS check.
