Duty Manager
Duty Manager – Leisure Operations (Stoke Mandeville Stadium)
Location: Stoke Mandeville Stadium, HP21 9PPS Salary: £27,000 plus excellent benefits Schedule: Permanent, full-time (39 hours/week)
- Weekdays: 6:00am–2:30pm or 2:00pm–10:30pm
- Weekends: 6:30am–7:00pm
About the Role

We’re now seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused Duty Manager to lead our team at Stoke Mandeville Stadium, ensuring exceptional service, safety, and operational excellence.
As the Duty Manager, you’ll guide day-to-day operations, maintain high standards, and create a welcoming environment whereevery visit leaves a positive lasting impact.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading and motivating the operational team to deliver a safe, high-quality customer experience
- Managing day-to-day operations of the centre during shifts
- Acting as the Health and Safety responsible person, ensuring compliance with all regulations
- Handling incidents, emergencies, and investigations professionally
- Maintaining cleanliness, presentation, and facility functionality
- Supporting team development through coaching, training, and clear communication

Requirements
Ideal candidates will have:
- Experience in a Duty Manager, supervisory, or team leadership role in leisure, hospitality, or service environments
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and manage teams confidently
- A solid understanding of Health and Safety legislation and practical application
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- A proactive, organised, and positive approach
Vetting and checks: This role requires a Basic DBS check and completion of an Occupational Health Questionnaire.
