Duty Manager
BAR DUTY MANAGER – Y CASTELL, CARDIFF AIRPORT
Pay Rate £13.75 per hour + an extra £1.50 per hour for shifts between midnight and 6am (bringing total pay to £15.25/hour). Additional service charge included.
Hours 3am to 11pm, working flexibly across weekdays, weekends, bank, and public holidays.
About You

Requirements:
- At least 5 years of hospitality or retail experience (proof via references)
- Criminal Record Check required
- Must be 18+ to perform certain role tasks/shifts

About the Bar Duty Manager Role
A pivotal role leading day-to-day operations at a high-energy airport bar, blending customer service with team management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead opening, closing, and ongoing service – reactive problem-solving in a fast-moving setting
- Motivate and train teams to deliver exceptional customer experience
- Act as the primary point of contact for both staff and customers
- Monitor unit performance, identify trends, and drive improvements
- Preferred experience: team leadership in hospitality/retail + prior night-shift experience
