Location: Market Drayton, Shropshire, TF9 1JT
Salary: £27839.67 plus excellent benefits
Schedule: Full-time 37 hours per week, working across a 3-week rota that includes days, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

As Duty Manager, you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for customers, colleagues, and community partners. From leading daily operations to responding to emergencies and supporting service improvements, you'll help ensure local people can access high-quality leisure facilities that make a positive impact on health, wellbeing, and community life. This is a role where your leadership, care, and commitment will help impact a better future while creating an environment where colleagues can grow and thrive.
What you’ll do as a Duty Manager
- Lead the day-to-day operation of the facility, ensuring activities are delivered safely and to a high standard.
- Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
- Supervise, support, and coordinate colleagues, ensuring effective rota management and clear allocation of tasks.
- Deliver excellent customer service and build positive relationships with customers, community stakeholders, and partners.
- Respond confidently to emergencies and take operational control when required.
- Monitor performance, contribute to service improvements, and support the delivery of operational and financial objectives.

Does this sound like you?
- Experience working in a supervisory or duty management role within a leisure, hospitality, or customer-focused environment.
- A strong commitment to safety, customer care, and delivering positive outcomes for communities.
- Confident leadership skills with the ability to motivate, support, and develop colleagues.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with a wide range of people.
- Able to make sound decisions, solve problems effectively, and remain calm under pressure.
- Hold, or be willing to work towards, relevant industry qualifications such as IOSH Managing Safely, National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, First Aid at Work, or National Pool Plant Operators Certificate.

Vetting and checks
An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and any relevant information held by local police, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and safeguarding requirements. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to allow us to provide any support needed for you to succeed in the role.
