Duty Manager
Duty Manager – Fitness and Wellbeing Club Croydon Central
Location: Croydon Central FWC | Fitness & Wellbeing Club Contract Type: Permanent Working Hours: 40 hours per week Salary: Up to £29,973.06 per annum depending on experience, plus sales commission

About the Role
As a Duty Manager at our Fitness and Wellbeing Club, you will play a vital role in delivering an outstanding member experience while helping your team excel in a supportive, results-driven environment. This is ideal for someone with hands-on sales experience, strong leadership skills, and a passion for fitness and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Ensure the smooth operation of the club, covering opening and closing duties as scheduled.
- Champion member satisfaction by fostering strong relationships and proactive engagement.
Team Management
- Lead by example, mentoring and supporting your team while upholding Nuffield Health’s high service standards.
Sales & Member Experience
- Conduct club tours for prospective members, highlighting our unique benefits.
- Help drive sales targets and meet club objectives.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Oversee health and safety protocols, swiftly addressing any concerns or issues.
Additional Note
- Must be proficient in swimming and willing to undergo site-specific training to cover lifeguard duties during breaks.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have Experience
✔ Demonstrated sales experience ✔ Strong communication skills in a customer-facing environment ✔ Ability to operate efficiently with minimal hand-holding in a high-performance setting ✔ Enthusiasm for fitness/wellbeing and a customer service-driven mindset
