Leisure Centre Duty Manager
Location: Fox Hollies Leisure Centre, Birmingham B27 7NS
Salary: £30,972.94 per annum plus excellent benefits
Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week), including early shifts, late shifts, and weekends (hours: 6am – 10.30pm).

We are searching for an enthusiastic, customer-focused Duty Manager to help us achieve this mission.
What You’ll Do
As a Leisure Centre Duty Manager at Fox Hollies, you’ll ensure smooth operations so communities can enjoy accessible leisure spaces.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Act as a key holder – confidently opening and closing the centre.
- Lead daily operations – ensuring safe, efficient, and welcoming services for customers.
- Support teams – across reception, swimming pools (wet side), and gym/dry areas (dry side).
- Manage shift responsibility – allocate tasks, oversee staff coverage, and ensure smooth operations.
- Oversee bookings – manage the daily booking system and handle enquiries, changes, and feedback.
- Deliver excellent customer experience – professionally addressing complaints and service requests.
- Uphold safety standards – conduct routine health and safety checks and report any issues promptly.
- Follow protocols – adhere to Normal Operating Procedures (NOPs) and Emergency Action Plans (EAPs), responding appropriately in crises.

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should:
- Have previous experience in leisure, fitness, customer service or frontline roles.
- Be a confident swimmer with a valid National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ).
- Have experience supervising staff in high-pressure environments.
- Excel in communication and remain calm under pressure.
- Demonstrate strong organisational skills, while being reliable and adaptable for shift work.

Vetting & Checks Required
An Enhanced DBS check is mandatory for this role, including spent and unspent convictions, and may also require an Occupational Health Questionnaire.
