Leisure Centre Duty Manager
Location: Fox Hollies Leisure Centre, Birmingham B27 7NS
Salary: £30,972.94 per annum plus excellent benefits
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (flexible to include earlies, lates, and weekends, 6am–10.30pm).

Key Responsibilities
You’ll be entrusted with:
- Facility management: Acting as a key holder, opening and closing the centre.
- Operational leadership: Leading day-to-day running to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Team support: Guiding staff in reception, wet-side, and dry-side areas.
- Shift coordination: Allocating tasks, overseeing operations, and ensuring proper colleague cover.
- Customer care: Resolving enquiries, handling feedback, and managing complaints professionally.
- Health & safety compliance:
- Conducting and recording routine checks.
- Responding to issues promptly and following Normal Operating Procedures (NOPs) and Emergency Action Plans (EAPs).
- Incident response: Handling incidents in line with company guidelines.
Job Requirements
This role is ideal for candidates with:
- Experience in leisure, fitness, or a customer-focused environment.
- Strong swimming ability and a valid National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ).
- Supervisory experience in fast-paced settings, supporting or leading teams.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Strong organisational skills with a flexible, reliable approach to shift work.

Vetting & Checks
To support safety and safeguarding:
- An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role (including spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and police records).
- You’ll also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to ensure support is available for you in the role.
