Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee warehouse operations, resource allocations and customer service within the branch, including line management responsibility for the General Assistant team
  • Ensure all areas of the warehouse always conform to Health and Safety legislation
  • Work to deliver a balanced performance across key business metrics and KPI measures in line with business goals and objectives
  • Ensure the branch remains fully compliant with branch standards to maintain a balanced performance
  • Lead, coach, and develop teams to create the skills and capabilities needed now and for the future
  • Hold regular colleague reviews to strengthen colleague engagement and support development
  • Work with the Operations Manager to create a robust succession plan throughout the branch
  • Ensure branch recruitment is accurate and effective, attracting future talent to the organisation
  • Deliver a structured daily briefing to ensure all colleagues understand key objectives and measures

Hours: Average of 44 hours per week:

  • Monday to Friday: 8am – 6pm
  • Alternate Saturdays: 8am – 4pm

Skills And Experience

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to develop customer and colleague relationships
  • Experience in leading a warehouse operations team with a customer-first attitude
  • Knowledge of recruitment processes
  • Familiarity with POLines (P L’s) and the booking of in and out stock
  • Strong ability to highlight and resolve Health and Safety concerns
  • Ability to review, challenge, and develop colleagues to achieve their best performance
