Key Responsibilities
- Oversee warehouse operations, resource allocation, and customer service within the branch, including line management of the General Assistant team
- Ensure full compliance with Health and Safety legislation across all warehouse areas
- Drive performance excellence through key business metrics and KPIs, aligned with strategic goals
- Maintain branch compliance with standards to achieve a balanced, high-performing operation
- Lead, coach, and develop teams, fostering skills and future-ready capabilities
- Conduct regular colleague reviews to strengthen workplace engagement and development
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to create a strong succession plan
- Ensure effective recruitment processes, attracting top talent for long-term growth
- Deliver structured daily briefings to align teams on objectives and performance measures

Working Hours
- Average of 44 hours per week
- Monday to Friday (8:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
- Alternate Saturdays (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
Skills and Experience
- Excellent communication skills to build strong customer and colleague relationships
- Leadership experience managing warehouse operations with a customer-first mindset
- Practical knowledge of recruitment processes
- Understanding of PL (Pick Lists) and stock booking systems
- Strong Health & Safety awareness, with the ability to identify and resolve risks
- Development focus — Ability to review, challenge, and mentor colleagues for continuous improvement
