Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee warehouse operations, resource allocation, and customer service within the branch, including line management of the General Assistant team
  • Ensure full compliance with Health and Safety legislation across all warehouse areas
  • Drive performance excellence through key business metrics and KPIs, aligned with strategic goals
  • Maintain branch compliance with standards to achieve a balanced, high-performing operation
  • Lead, coach, and develop teams, fostering skills and future-ready capabilities
  • Conduct regular colleague reviews to strengthen workplace engagement and development
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to create a strong succession plan
  • Ensure effective recruitment processes, attracting top talent for long-term growth
  • Deliver structured daily briefings to align teams on objectives and performance measures

Working Hours

  • Average of 44 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday (8:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
  • Alternate Saturdays (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

Skills and Experience

  • Excellent communication skills to build strong customer and colleague relationships
  • Leadership experience managing warehouse operations with a customer-first mindset
  • Practical knowledge of recruitment processes
  • Understanding of PL (Pick Lists) and stock booking systems
  • Strong Health & Safety awareness, with the ability to identify and resolve risks
  • Development focus — Ability to review, challenge, and mentor colleagues for continuous improvement
