Key Responsibilities
- Oversee warehouse operations, resource management, and customer service within the branch, including line management responsibility for the General Assistant team
- Ensure all areas comply with Health and Safety legislation
- Drive balanced performance across key business metrics and KPIs aligned with business goals
- Maintain branch compliance with established standards
- Lead, coach, and develop teams, fostering skills and future readiness
- Conduct regular colleague reviews to enhance engagement and development support
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to create a succession plan for the branch
- Ensure branch recruitment attracts the right talent consistently
- Deliver structured daily briefings to clarify objectives and performance measures
- Average schedule: 44 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8am–6pm); alternate Saturdays (8am–4pm)

Skills and Experience
- Strong communication skills – Building relationships with customers and colleagues
- Warehouse operations leadership – With a customer-first mindset
- Recruitment knowledge – Understanding of processes, P.L./mechanical stock, and managing inventory
- Health and Safety expertise – Identifying and resolving concerns promptly
- People management ability – Reviewing, coaching, and challenging colleagues to drive performance and growth
