Duty Manager – Fitness and Wellbeing Club (Bridgend, FWC)
Location: Bridgend Company: Fitness & Wellbeing Club Contract: Permanent Type: Part-time Hours: Up to 24 hours per week Salary: Up to £28,040.38 pro rata, depending on experience, plus sales commission

About the Role
We’re expanding our team and are looking for a passionate, driven Duty Manager to enhance our exceptional fitness experience for our members. This role offers a chance to advance your career while making a tangible difference in a supportive environment.
As the Duty Manager at our Bridgend gym, you’ll need strong sales experience, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative, customer-focused attitude. Your enthusiasm and ability to work as part of a team will help us maintain the highest standards in member satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership:
- Ensure the smooth running of the club, including opening and closing shifts when on duty
- Maintain operational consistency and high standards during your shift

Customer Experience & Engagement:
- Prioritise member satisfaction—engage with clients to foster happiness and build strong relationships
- Lead by example and support fellow team members while upholding Nuffield Health’s quality standards

Member Acquisition & Upselling:
- Conduct club tours for prospective members, highlighting unique Nuffield Health benefits
- Help achieve sales targets through proactive member interactions

Safety & Compliance:
- Oversee health and safety protocols and address any issues promptly and effectively

Lifeguard Cover: Be confident in swimming to a high standard and willing to undergo on-site lifeguard training for cover during breaks.
Requirements
- Demonstrated sales experience—keywords: closing, upselling
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A customer-first mindset with excellent relational abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively and learn quickly within a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to delivering exceptional standards in customer service
