Duty Manager – LKQ UK & Ireland

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Compliance

  • Oversee warehouse operations, resource management, and customer service within the branch, including line management of the General Assistant team.
  • Ensure all Health and Safety standards are met and comply with legislation.
  • Drive balanced performance across key business metrics and KPIs aligned with company goals.
  • Maintain full branch compliance with set standards to sustain high service levels.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop teams to build current and future skills.
  • Conduct regular colleague reviews to boost engagement and support growth.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to create a succession plan for the branch.
  • Ensure high-quality branch recruitment, attracting top talent.

Activity & Governance

  • Deliver a structured daily briefing to align teams on objectives and performance measures.
  • Work 44+ hours per week, typically:
    • Mon–Fri: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
    • Alternate Saturdays: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Skills & Experience

✅ Strong leadership in warehouse operations with a customer-first mindset. ✅ Exceptional communication skills to foster relationships with both colleagues and customers. ✅ Knowledge of recruitment processes. ✅ Understanding of ynamic Logistics Policies (P&Ls) and stock booking procedures. ✅ Proactive Health & Safety with the ability to identify and resolve concerns. ✅ Coaching & developmental expertise—capable of challenging teams to reach their best.
