About Your Role

This is a varied and interesting role as a Duty Manager. You will wear many hats:
- Managing, recruiting, and training staff
- Addressing customer concerns
- Driving up membership numbers
- Preparing reports and attending meetings
- Leading a team to ensure the efficient day-to-day running of our centre
As Places Leisure’s representative, you will:
- Take on responsibility in a hands-on leadership role
- Require a motivated, proactive approach to work
- Be open to shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
A proportion of ‘off-shift’ time will be provided for administrative duties.
More About You
This role requires a supervisory/management background within a leisure facility—previous experience would be highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities and Benefactors:
The Duty Manager will:
- Experience, or potential to rapidly gain, first aid qualifications (also acts as a representative first aider)
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and strong leadership skills
Essential Requirement:
- You must hold an NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification).

A Pool Plant Operator (PPO) qualification is desirable, but training can be offered to the successful candidate.
