About the Role: Duty Manager
This is a dynamic and rewarding role that requires versatility, leadership, and a passion for driving positive change. As Duty Manager, you’ll wear many hats, including:
- Managing, recruiting, and training staff
- Resolving customer concerns and ensuring exceptional service
- Boosting memberships through proactive engagement
- Preparing reports and contributing to strategic decisions
- Attending meetings to shape the future of our centres
- Leading your team to maintain efficiency and high standards
- Representing Places Leisure professionally and with enthusiasm
A flexible approach to work is essential, including:
- Shifts on evenings, weekends, and public holidays

About You
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
- Supervisory or management experience, ideally in a leisure facility environment
- First aid experience (though you’ll train as a registered first aider on the job, relevant qualifications are a strong asset)
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong leadership abilities to guide your team effectively
Essential Criteria:
- A Nationally Recognised Swimming Teaching Qualification (NPLQ) is required.
