Duty Pharmacy Manager – Tesco Pharmacy

About the Role

At Tesco, people are at the heart of everything we do, and this couldn’t be truer for our pharmacy team. As a Duty Pharmacy Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact on others’ lives. Whether you’re supporting pharmacists, providing top-notch services to customers, or fostering community spirit, your work will touch the lives of hundreds of people every day.

We want to help you be at your best, whatever life brings:

  • Uninterrupted "me time" away from the pharmacy to relax, refuel, and recharge.
  • Career progression with leadership training plans from industry experts.
  • Open-door policy where your ideas for improvement will be heard and acted upon.

You’ll feel fulfilled, knowing you’re making a real difference—doing good, feeling good, and developing your career.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Supplying prescriptions, delivering NHS and private services, and providing healthcare advice to customers.
  • Taking an active role in our charities support program, offering guidance to people affected by cancer, heart disease, and diabetes within the community.
  • Assisting the Pharmacy Manager in leading, training, and developing colleagues.
  • Supporting the Pharmacy Manager in building relationships with Primary Care Networks (PCNs) and GP surgeries.
  • Ensuring accurate payment claims for NHS-covered items.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
