Duty Section Manager – ASOS Barnsley
We’re looking for a confident and impact-driven leader to join our high-performing ASOS Barnsley fulfilment operation—one of the UK’s largest fulfilment centres, spanning 1.1 million square feet and shipping to over 150 countries worldwide. This role demands scale, pace, and direct operational ownership in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where consistency, safety, and team development are key.
The Role
- Take ownership of a critical operational area, leading, motivating, and developing your team to hit demanding KPIs while upholding the highest standards for safety, quality, and service
- Drive performance, build capability, and embed a culture of continuous improvement in a truly dynamic logistics environment
- Full-time permanent position on a shift rotation (Tuesday to Saturday, any 5 days), working between 14:45 and 23:15 daily

Operational Excellence
- Maintain strong Health & Safety compliance whilst actively managing risks
- Streamline daily operations through labour planning, workflow prioritisation, and real-time performance monitoring
- Interpret operational data, pinpoint root causes of inefficiencies, and implement scalable improvement solutions
Stakeholder & Business Relations
- Foster strong relationships with internal partners, resolving issues while sustaining service integrity
What We Value in a Candidate
Industry Experience ✔ Proven leadership track record in high-volumelogistics or warehouse environments (e.g., Semiconductors, eCommerce, Retail, Heavy Industry)
Mindset & Drive ✔ Proactive, solution-focused mindset with a bias for action and commitment to sustained excellence ✔ Confidence in utilising data, KPIs, and operational tools to make well-informed decisions
People Management ✔ Demonstrated excellent team-building, coaching, and development skills ✔ Ability to motivate teams under pressurised conditions whilst delivering against targets
Technical Proficiency ✔ Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS—an advantage) and familiarity with analytics-driven workflows
