DUTY SECURITY MANAGER

Contract: Banking

Location: Edinburgh, EH12 1HQ

Hours of work: 50 Hours Per Week (Monday – Friday)

Contract Type: Permanent

Hourly Rate: £16.13 per hour


We are seeking a Duty Security Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of security services, ensuring all contractual requirements are consistently met.

Job Description

This role is responsible for leading, managing, and delivering contract performance for ISS placemakers in line with obligations to a major banking client within the assigned area.

We are looking for an individual who can support operational performance and contractual KPIs by ensuring daily activities meet and exceed stakeholder expectations.

You will play a key role in maintaining a fully trained, motivated team focused on preventing security breaches, achieving performance standards, and delivering a world-class customer experience.

The Role

  • Achieve deployment KPIs and ensure operational coverage meets contract requirements
  • Lead, manage, and motivate a team of security personnel to deliver high performance
  • Deliver effective manpower and establishment plans aligned to operational needs
  • Drive a customer-focused culture and Service Excellence approach across site operations
  • Plan and direct local operations in compliance with BS 7499 and assignment instructions
  • Conduct shift briefings, including security intelligence, penetration testing updates, and health & safety requirements
  • Manage team performance, addressing underperformance through formal processes such as counselling, investigations, and disciplinary procedures
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the client, ISS service lines, and on-site partners

About You

  • Proven experience in managing teams and leading people effectively
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience within the security sector
  • Valid front-line SIA licence (Security Guarding, Door Supervision, or Close Protection)
  • Solid understanding of security guarding operations aligned to BS:7499 standards
  • Demonstrable commitment to delivering excellent customer service
  • High attention to detail with a professional approach
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities
