DV Cleared - Platform Engineer – Azure | Azure Arc | XDR | Windows & Linux
Location: Hybrid – Milton Keynes
Contract: 6 months
The Opportunity
A highly reputable government-backed corporation is hiring a DV cleared Platform Engineer to support and enhance a large-scale hybrid infrastructure across Azure and on-premises environments for a 6-month contract paying up to £630 PD Inside IR 35 to be based in Milton Keynes or London on-site 3 days per week.
This role is centered around deploying and supporting XDR security agents, Azure Arc, Azure Monitor Agent (AMA), and enterprise monitoring solutions, while ensuring secure, reliable platform services across Windows and Linux server estates.
Working closely with Infrastructure and Cyber Security teams, you'll play a key role in improving platform visibility, security, and operational resilience.

Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and support Azure Arc-enabled servers across Windows and Linux.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Azure Monitor Agent (AMA).
- Deploy, upgrade, and maintain XDR/EDR security agents across enterprise environments.
- Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and security using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
- Administer Windows Server and Linux environments, including patching and security hardening.
- Support Azure networking, hybrid cloud services, and infrastructure automation using PowerShell and Bash.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, monitoring, and endpoint security issues while driving continuous improvement.
Essential Skills
- Strong Microsoft Azure administration experience.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Arc and Azure Monitor Agent (AMA).
- Experience deploying and supporting XDR/EDR solutions (Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Cortex XDR, or similar).
- Windows Server and Linux administration.
- Active Directory, DNS, and networking fundamentals.
- PowerShell and/or Bash scripting.
- Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and infrastructure monitoring.

Desirable
- Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
- Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Entra ID, Intune, or SCCM.
- Experience working within large enterprise environments.
