Source-to-Pay Transformation | Outside IR35 Competitive Day Rate | 4-6 Months
We're supporting a business embarking on significant optimisation of their Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance platform and are looking for an experienced Dynamics 365 Finance Techno-Functional Consultant to help shape the next phase of their Finance transformation.
Working closely with Finance stakeholders, you'll become the technical authority for the programme, helping redesign Source-to-Pay processes, improve Accounts Payable automation, rationalise configuration, and establish best practice across the platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design of a Dynamics 365 Finance Source-to-Pay transformation.
- Review existing Finance configuration and recommend best-practice approaches.
- Design efficient transaction structures to support AP automation and workflow.
- Define and optimise:
- Master data
- Approval workflows
- Security roles
- Controls
- Translate business requirements into practical D365 Finance solutions.
- Provide technical leadership across configuration, integrations and platform capability.
- Advise on AP Automation and OCR solutions, including their integration with D365 Finance.
- Support host-to-host payment integration and wider Finance process automation.
- Produce clear documentation, solution designs and configuration guidance.
- Work alongside internal IT teams and third-party suppliers to ensure successful delivery.

Requirements
We’re looking for someone with:
- Strong experience delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance (formerly Finance & Operations) projects.
- Proven experience as a:
- Dynamics 365 Finance Techno-Functional Consultant
- Senior Functional Consultant
- Solution Architect
- Deep understanding of Procure-to-Pay/Source-to-Pay and Accounts Payable processes.
- Strong knowledge of:
- D365 Finance configuration
- Workflows
- Security
- Financial dimensions
- Master data
- Experience working across:
- Configuration
- Integrations
- Technical solution design
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge existing approaches and recommend best practice.
- Experience working closely with:
- Finance users
- Implementation partners
- Internal IT teams

Ideal Candidate Traits
- Location flexibility: Ideally could work from Central / East London (approximately 1-2 days per week) to build rapport with stakeholders, though negotiable for the right skills.
- Immediate or quick start: Preferred if possible.
