E-Commerce Controller Sales and Planning
Regional Brand Controller – Sales & Financial Planning (Online Markets)
LOCATION: London
TEAM: EU Regional REPORTS TO: Regional Brand Controller KPIS: Sales & Warehouse (WH) Planning Accuracy
About the Role
Drive sales budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for all online markets within the region, ensuring accurate planning aligned with commercial calendars and business growth. Collaborate closely with Sales Teams, Merchandising, Marketing, and Expansion to support planning efforts.
Responsibilities
Sales & Financial Planning
- Secure the sales plan by setting weekly and daily sales forecasts for each market.
- Collaborate with the E-commerce Controller to ensure the sales forecast directly and accurately informs:
- Ongoing financial P&L planning
- The formal forecast and budget process
Performance Monitoring
- Drive regional net sales by continuously measuring performance against plan to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Leverage insights from:
- Sales data
- Web performance
- Customer behaviour
- Digital marketing investments
- Align plans with key KPIs (e.g., sales accuracy, WH efficiency) in collaboration with the E-commerce Controller.

Reporting & Follow-Up
- Analyze sales, web, and customer data to identify:
- Key trends
- Commercial opportunities
- Potential threats
- Suggest, review, and evaluate commercial activities and customer offers, assessing their financial impact.
- Apply learnings to shape future strategy.
Warehouse Planning
- Treat logistical capacity as a core focus area to drive sales while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
- Partner with logistics teams to optimize warehouse practices, maximizing both sales and profit.
Data Management
- Ensure data consistency across systems (Anaplan, Synapps) to support planning accuracy.
Qualifications & Skills
Financial Acumen
- Proven ability in:
- Managing sales equations
- Forecasting
- Budgeting & financial planning
- Specialized expertise in online retail channels.

Commercial & Analytical Skills
- Competency in analyzing e-commerce KPIs including:
- Traffic
- Conversion rates
- Average Order Value (AOV)
- Returns analysis
- Digital marketing performance
- Ability to translate data into actionable commercial strategies.
- Skills to build custom Excel tools and Power BI dashboards for enhanced analysis.
Strategic Mindset
- Drive long-term strategies for sustainable and profitable growth in the online market.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Experience working effectively with:
- WH (Warehouse) teams
- Merchandising
- Marketing
- E-commerce Operations
Effective Communication
- Clear, persuasive presentation of complex financial and commercial data to stakeholders.
- Ability to guide business decisions with data-backed insights.
Additional Information
- Full-time role based in London, requiring 3 days per week office presence.
