Job Description: Ecommerce Executive

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly organised, proactive and detail-focused Ecommerce Executive to support the day-to-day management, maintenance and optimisation of our ecommerce channels with a focus on marketplace catalogue management.

Working closely with the wider Ecommerce, Marketing, Buying, Procurement and Development teams, the role will support website trading, product catalogue management, new product launches, promotions and marketplace activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regularly review and update product, collection and information landing pages to ensure they are accurate, up to date, on-brand and optimised to support conversion.
  • Maintain consistent standards and processes for product titles, descriptions, imagery, URLs and other product information across relevant ecommerce channels.
  • Support the day-to-day management of product catalogues across the website and third-party marketplaces, ensuring product data, content, pricing, stock information and promotional details are accurate and up to date.
  • Support new product creation, setup and launches across ecommerce and marketplace channels.
  • Work with relevant internal teams to maintain clear and consistent SKU structures and product data.
  • Work with external partners / agencies to ensure marketplace catalogue management is up to date.
  • Support the delivery of the marketing and trading calendar through seasonal website updates, banners, new product launches, markdowns and promotions.
  • Support onsite and marketplace merchandising, including product positioning, promotional opportunities, banners and other non-paid visibility opportunities.
  • Carry out regular spot checks and proactively identify and resolve issues relating to product data, pricing, stock, promotions and content.
  • Support with strategies and initiatives around upsell, cross-sell, post-purchase, abandoned baskets and referral where required.
  • Support the implementation of A/B testing and conversion optimisation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the wider Marketing team to support traffic, conversion and revenue growth across email, paid social, affiliates and other channels.
  • Coordinate with the Development team to support website functionality improvements and enhancements.
  • Support the production of regular ecommerce and marketplace performance reporting and commentary, highlighting key trends, opportunities and risks.
  • Stay up to date with ecommerce trends, competitor activity and marketplace developments to contribute to ongoing improvements.
  • Support the wider Ecommerce team in achieving departmental revenue, conversion and performance goals.
  • Support with ad hoc ecommerce activity where additional resources are required.

Essential

  • Experience managing or maintaining online product catalogues.
  • Strong attention to detail and a data-driven approach.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working effectively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver successful projects.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.

Desirable

  • Previous experience using Amazon Seller Central or Mirakl.
  • Previous experience managing marketplace catalogue products or third-party sales channels.
  • Previous experience working in an ecommerce or online retail environment.
  • Experience using Shopify Plus.
  • Understanding of ecommerce performance metrics, conversion optimisation and A/B testing.
