About the Role

We're looking for an experienced e-commerce specialist to take ownership of the technical and conversion side of our Shopify store. This is a hands-on, diagnostic role for someone who has managed genuinely complex stores, not basic catalogue management.

Note that this is a part-time role offering approximately 15-25 hours/week.

We have a large, variation-heavy product catalogue and an international, multi-market Shopify setup. We need someone who can get inside the store, understand why conversion behaves the way it does, identify what's working and what's broken, and either fix it or direct our developer with clear, evidenced instructions.

This Role is Right for You If

You've worked on Shopify stores that are difficult to manage — large catalogues, multiple markets and currencies, complex theme and app setups. You've faced conversion problems and actually solved them. You can look at analytics and session data and form a clear, evidence-based view of what's happening, rather than guessing. You're as comfortable challenging a developer's findings as you are doing the work yourself.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

What You'll Own

  • Conversion performance: investigating drop-off, diagnosing friction, and identifying causes across markets, devices, and browsers.
  • Technical oversight of the store: understanding the theme, apps, tracking, and how changes affect performance — and being able to verify findings directly in Shopify rather than taking them on trust.
  • Analytics and session analysis: working across GA4, Search Console, and tools like Microsoft Clarity to build an accurate picture of site and customer behaviour.
  • Working alongside our developer: reviewing their work, asking the right questions, and directing technical fixes with clear, specific instructions.
  • Day-to-day store management: merchandising, collections, product setup, and on-site optimisation, to a high standard.
