Job Description

Job title: E-Learning Developer – Sales Enablement

Department: Sales

Location: Open to European country which has a CooperVision commercial office

GLS: S04

Working hours: 37.5 hours (UK) or 40 hours (Europe) per week Monday to Friday

Job Summary

This role will be the subject matter expert responsible for defining, delivering, and continuously improving sales capability programmes across EMEA, combining strategic ownership of sales learning and enablement with practical expertise in instructional design, digital learning, and emerging AI technologies.

The position owns the design and evolution of learning frameworks, programmes, and enablement systems that support commercial performance. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, Medical and Sales Effectiveness leaders, the role translates business priorities into scalable learning experiences, performance support tools, and AI-enabled knowledge solutions.

Essential Functions & Accountabilities:

Sales Enablement Strategy & Programme Ownership

  • Define and evolve learning and enablement strategies supporting EMEA commercial priorities.
  • Own designated capability domains including onboarding, product excellence, sales skills, customer engagement, and commercial effectiveness.
  • Develop multi-year learning roadmaps aligned to business objectives and sales performance goals.
  • Identify capability gaps through performance analysis and stakeholder consultation.
  • Recommend and implement learning, coaching, reinforcement, and enablement solutions that drive measurable outcomes.
  • Act as the functional expert for sales learning and capability development across the region.

Instructional Design & Learning Architecture

  • Design end-to-end learning journeys grounded in adult learning principles and evidence-based instructional design methodologies.
  • Establish learning frameworks, standards, governance, and content architecture for assigned programmes.
  • Ensure learning experiences align to expected business outcomes and key performance indicators.
  • Create blended solutions combining digital learning, virtual facilitation, instructor-led training, performance support resources, and field reinforcement.
  • Provide expert guidance on learning design best practices across stakeholders and project teams.

Digital Learning & Content Development

  • Develop high-impact digital learning solutions where specialist expertise is required.
  • Create interactive eLearning experiences using platforms such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate, or equivalent tools.
  • Produce and oversee multimedia learning assets including videos, simulations, assessments, infographics, and performance support resources.
  • Ensure digital learning content is SCORM-compliant and optimised for deployment through Allego or other learning platforms.
  • Determine the most effective delivery approach, balancing direct development, AI-assisted creation, partner support, and reusable learning assets.

AI-Enabled Learning Innovation

  • Lead the application of AI tools and prompt-engineering techniques to improve learning design, content generation, knowledge management, and enablement at scale.
  • Develop reusable prompt libraries and content-generation frameworks for learning and sales enablement teams.
  • Use AI technologies to accelerate content development, increase consistency, and improve learner access to knowledge.
  • Identify opportunities to automate routine content creation while maintaining quality, compliance, and accuracy.
  • Establish best practices and governance for AI-supported learning content.

Commercial Enablement & Sales Capability

  • Translate complex product, clinical, scientific, and commercial information into engaging and actionable learning experiences.
  • Ensure enablement solutions support real-world sales conversations and customer interactions.
  • Align learning programmes with sales methodologies, customer journeys, and strategic commercial priorities.
  • Partner with sales leaders to understand capability needs and measure impact against performance indicators.

Stakeholder Leadership & Programme Delivery

  • Build trusted partnerships with Sales, Marketing, Product, Medical, HR and Sales Effectiveness teams.
  • Lead cross-functional projects from concept through implementation and evaluation.
  • Facilitate alignment among subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure consistent, high-quality outputs.
  • Manage multiple concurrent initiatives, ensuring effective prioritisation, delivery, and stakeholder communication.

Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  • Define success measures and evaluation frameworks for learning and enablement programmes.
  • Analyse learner engagement, knowledge retention, behavioural adoption, and business impact metrics.
  • Use feedback and performance data to continuously improve programme effectiveness.
  • Establish a culture of measurement, experimentation, and evidence-based decision making.

Experience

  • 7+ years' experience in Sales Enablement, Commercial Training, Learning & Development, Instructional Design, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ownership of learning programmes, capability frameworks, or enablement initiatives at regional or organisational level.
  • Strong expertise in instructional design and adult learning methodologies.
  • Experience developing digital learning solutions and managing learning content throughout its lifecycle.
  • Experience working with sales organisations and translating business priorities into capability programmes.
  • Strong stakeholder management and project leadership experience.
  • Experience using AI tools to improve productivity, content creation, learning design, or knowledge management.
  • Experience within healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or other regulated environments (desirable)
  • Experience with sales enablement platforms such as Allego, Seismic, Highspot, or similar technologies (desirable)
  • Hands-on experience with Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate, or equivalent authoring tools (desirable)
  • Knowledge of sales methodologies and commercial effectiveness frameworks (desirable)
  • Experience implementing AI-enabled learning or enablement solutions (desirable)
