Exciting Opportunity: Early-Career Information Scientist

NextLink is seeking an enthusiastic Information Scientist to join their client team in Slough, UK (with an anticipated office move to Windlesham, Surrey). This 12-month full-time hybrid/remote position provides the chance to work on cutting-edge research, combining data science and AI.

About the Role

The Information Scientist will contribute to-text analysis using programmatic, scientific, coding, and AI-enabled techniques to uncover insights from biomedical data, external datasets, and literature.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in life sciences, data science, or a related discipline
  • Proficiency in programming (Python, R, or similar)
  • Strong analytical problem-solving mindset

Desirable:

  • Hands-on experience with NLP, machine learning, or scientific data handling
  • Familiarity with metadata, ontologies, or knowledge graphs
