About The Role
Reporting to: Nursery Manager Location: Ark Start Earls Court, Warwick Road, London, SW5 9UE Contract: Permanent Working Pattern: Full-time (37.5 hours per week, all year) or Term-time (39 weeks per year) Salary: From £27k per year
We are seeking a Level 3 qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Ark Start Earls Court, our new nursery setting. This role will involve delivering high standards of physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care for all children. You’ll ensure safeguarding, promote welfare, and create an enabling learning environment that encourages play, exploration and development—both inside and outside the classroom (including outdoor, forest, cooking, and gardening activities).
We need someone with a genuine passion for young children, creativity, commitment, energy, and enthusiasm for leading practice in early years education.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a group of key worker children, including observations, assessments, and parent relationships
- Implement the Ark Start curriculum with rigour and creativity
- Ensure high-quality interactions with all children, adapting support to every individual’s needs
- Create and maintain an enabling and safe learning environment for progressive child development
- Follow Ark Start safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure child safety, security, and welfare
- Keep child records up to date, while reporting progress to parents and senior staff
- Uphold Ark Start’s code of conduct and handbook standards in all interactions with staff, parents, and visitors

Requirements
- Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education and Care (or commitment to achieving it)
- Right to work in the UK
- Awareness of safeguarding principles, recognising concerns, and acted when issues arise
- Ability to work collaboratively while using your own initiative
- Commitment to reflecting on practice and striving for professional growth
