Early Childhood Educator – Ryan Road Childcare, Pakenham
About the Role
At Mayfield Early Education, we’re dedicated to providing a welcoming, secure, and enriching environment where every child can thrive. As part of our mission—to foster independence, build self-esteem, and create a sense of belonging—we’re seeking an experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Ryan Road Childcare & Swim School in Pakenham.
This role focuses on child safety, personalised learning, and collaborative care, ensuring children receive the best possible early education experience.
Key Responsibilities
Your role will include, but is not limited to:
- Ensuring child safety, wellbeing, and active supervision in adherence to Child Safe Standards.
- Partnering with the team to implement an age-appropriate and engaging curriculum.
- Providing tailored support to children based on their individual learning styles and developmental needs.
- Positively managing behaviour to encourage social and emotional growth.
- Maintaining transparent communication with parents regarding children’s progress, challenges, and achievements.
- Participating in team meetings to align our approach to early childhood education.
- Promoting a welcoming and inclusive environment that values diversity and cultural sensitivity.

Requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC or equivalent approved by ACECQA)
- Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Completed child protection training (Red Nose) and/or food safety training
- Working knowledge of:
- National Quality Framework (NQF)
- Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
- Child Safe Standards
Experience & Skills
- Proven experience in a kindergarten setting (preferable)
- A genuine passion for early childhood development
- Strong ability to build trusted relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Commitment to safety, inclusivity, and professional growth
