Inspire Young Minds as an Early Childhood Teacher at the Y

The Role

As an Early Childhood Teacher, you’ll play a key leadership role in creating a stimulating and nurturing learning environment for young children. You’ll:

  • Design and deliver a curriculum that promotes early learning, development, and wellbeing
  • Lead and mentor a team of educators in applying best practices in early childhood education
  • Foster strong partnerships with families and the broader community
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all children

We're seeking someone who is passionate about inspiring young minds and committed to creating positive, engaging learning experiences.

What You’ll Bring

  • An ACECQA-approved Early Childhood Teacher qualification (mandatory)
  • Registered with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI)
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in an early childhood education setting
  • Registration with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of the EYLF, NQF, and Education and Care professional standards
  • A collaborative, reflective approach to working with teams
  • Foundations of Child Safety Training Certificate (mandatory)
  • Current Paid ACT Working With Vulnerable People card (WWVP) (mandatory)
  • First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis Certificates (or willingness to obtain)
