MASH Early Help Advisor (Children’s Services) | 10696 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £32,061 to £33,699 per annum | Grade G | County Hall, Norwich

Children’s Services are seeking to recruit an Early Help Advisor based in the Partner & Community MASH Team.

We believe that every child and family need to have the right support at the right time. Prevention and early intervention are our top priority in enabling families to access support to enable better outcomes and stop the family’s needs escalating.

Are you a patient and compassionate person who is able to listen and be curious? We need an Early Help Advisor who can liaise with services, families, and their networks to be the first step towards identifying the most appropriate support. The work can be complex, and no referral will be the same, so being adaptable and flexible is key to the role.

A key part of these roles will be working with colleagues both internally and externally to build capacity and resilience for the future. Understanding of the Continuum of need guidance will be vital to the work.

The role is office based through telephone and email communication, so experience of communicating verbally and in writing is essential. There is need for accurate case recording so the ability to follow process and use computer packages will be needed.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check to assess the suitability of candidates to work with children or other vulnerable groups.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
