A friendly nursery in Chandlers Ford is looking for a Level 3 Early Years Apprentice to join the team.
You will work and interact directly with children on a day-to-day basis, supporting the planning of and delivery of activities. Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
Responsibilities
- Creating warm, friendly, and stimulating atmosphere in which the children can develop emotionally, socially and educationally
- Under supervision you will provide all aspects of care for children including washing, changing and feeding
- Acting as key worker to a small group of children and recording observations and planning for them
- Assisting with meeting the personal and emotional needs of individual children
- Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Being aware of the nurseries policies and procedures and ensure they are adhered to
- Completing all work to desired timescales as set by Showcase tutor

Requirements
- GCSE in: English (grade 4 or C and above)
- Desirable qualifications: GCSE in: Maths (grade 4 or C and above)
- Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
- Skills: Communication skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Logical, Team working, Creative, Initiative, Non judgemental, Patience
- Please check that you can travel to this employer on a daily basis before applying.
Benefits
- Training provider: SHOWCASE TRAINING LTD
- Training course: Early years educator (level 3)
- Training schedule: Level 3 Standard for the Early Years Educator, Functional Skills: Maths and English (unless exempt), Paediatric First Aid Training completed via work-based visits at the nursery and 4-hour study time provided for coursework.
- Your earnings can increase over time with an apprenticeship.
- Once completing your Level 3 Apprenticeship you may be offered a full-time position and further training.

About Little 1 Nursery
Little 1 Nursery is an exceptional day nursery set in a third of an acre in the heart of Chandlers Ford. The building is an extended bungalow with a large garden for children aged 3 months to school age. Chandlers Ford has recently undergone large extensions and refurbishment.
