Early Years Apprentice – Bright Horizons Chelmsford Day Nursery
Location Bright Horizons Chelmsford Day Nursery & Preschool 51 Centenary Way, Springfield, Chelmsford, Essex CM1 6AU
Salary £26,662.20 per annum (depending on qualification/experience)
Hours Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday

The Role
As an Early Years Apprentice, you’ll be part of a dedicated team delivering essential care, nurturing, and stimulating learning for babies and children up to age 5:
- Plan and lead fun, interactive play and activities—reading stories, music time, imaginative adventures—fuelling each child’s curiosity.
- Work alongside assessors to complete your formal qualification (this includes training and coursework).
- Reflect and grow: Put feedback, new ideas, and best practices into action to continuously enhance children’s development.
- Foster trust with colleagues, parents, and children through clear communication.
What We’re Looking For
Who you are: ✔ Committed to completing your apprenticeship and viewing it as integral to your career ✔ English qualification of GCSE Grade C (Level 4)/Functional Skills Level 2 or graphical willingness to complete concurrently

Experience (beneficial but not essential): 💡 Experience working with children—Nursery Bank Staff, teaching assistants, childminders, Early Years Educators, or similar.
Your mindset: ✔ A passion for making learning engaging and joyful (no matter the age!) ✔ Empathy and patience for each child’s individual needs ✔ Ability to build trust and strong parent partnerships ✔ Strong communication skills—adapting to children and adults confidently
