Join Head Start On the Hill as an Early Years Educator Apprentice! Train towards your Level 3 qualification while supporting children’s learning, play, and development in an award-winning nursery.

Requirements

  • GCSE in English Language (grade 4)
  • GCSE in Mathematics (grade 4)
  • DBS check required after offer
  • Communication Skills
  • Creative

  • Team working

Responsibilities

  • Promote positive relationships in the setting
  • Promote the health, safety, and well-being of the children
  • Support the children’s development, learning, and play
  • Support key persons in building relationships with children and their families
  • Once confident, be responsible for a small cohort of children with staff and management support
  • Contribute to the effectiveness of team work
  • Be a role model showcasing high-quality practice with individual and group work with children
  • Take responsibility for the safety, security, and well-being of all children, staff, and visitors
  • Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed in line with Local Authority and Company procedures
  • Support the Nursery Management Team in working towards an ‘outstanding’ Ofsted grade
  • Embrace, understand, and promote The Cheshire Day Nursery Group values and your role within the team

Application Process

  • This is an apprenticeship with on-the-job training and 20% off-the-job learning incorporated into the working day.
  • You will study towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, including:
    • Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
    • Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
    • Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
    • Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
  • Training is delivered by Realise.
