Early Years Apprentice

Early Years Apprentice

Hours: 37.5 hours per week Contract: Permanent Salary: £12,514.28 per annum

About the Role

This apprenticeship is designed to develop your workplace skills and knowledge while training towards Level 3 Early Years Practitioner status.

If you enjoy working with children and supporting their learning, this opportunity will allow you to earn while you train. You will cover topics such as:

  • Child and young person development
  • Safeguarding the welfare of children and young people
  • Supporting positive behaviour
  • Partnership working in early years services
  • Health and safety
  • Child development
  • Planning and implementing activities
  • Observing and recording children’s progress

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide learning-through-play experiences aligned with our practice and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), maximising outdoor opportunities.
  • Create a secure and stimulating environment that supports children’s emotional, intellectual, moral, physical, spiritual, and social development at their own pace.
  • Prioritise the safety, security, and wellbeing of children in your care.
  • Contribute as a collaborative team member, sharing ideas and engaging with feedback to enhance practice.

Apprenticeship Programme

As part of the apprenticeship, you will:

  • Develop maths and English skills
  • Attend tutorials and individual development sessions (e.g., Future Academy)

  • GCSEs: Minimum *five grades 9-2 (A-G)**, including at least two grade 4 (C or above)

  • Must be in relevant employment (employer support available if needed)
  • DBS check required post-employment
