Early Years Apprenticeship Level 3
This apprenticeship is a 13-month program designed to provide hands-on experience in a childcare setting, with support from an assessor and a nursery mentor. Success in this role requires dedication, commitment, and punctuality. This apprenticeship offers potential for various future roles within the childcare sector.
Requirements
- GCSEs in English and Maths (grade 4 or above)

Responsibilities
- Supporting the development of childcare provision
- Providing a range of engaging and educational activities for children
- Assisting in meeting OFSTED requirements
- Being a supportive team player
- Providing challenging and stimulating activities appropriate for children's ages
- Upholding equal opportunity principles in service delivery
- Supporting children's learning and development
- Assisting children with their self-help needs
- Demonstrating creativity and enthusiasm
- Adhering to safeguarding rules and regulations
- Working towards a Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education and a first aid qualification
- Undertaking the role and responsibilities of a key person
- Providing sensitive and respectful personal care for children from birth to 5 years
- Advocating for all children's needs, including those with SEND or EAL support
- Promoting children's interpersonal communication skills
- Supporting children's development of a positive sense of identity and culture
- Helping children understand and manage their emotions and behaviours
- Assessing and creating effective, inclusive, child-centred environments (both physical and emotional)
- Applying strategies to support children through change and transition
- Analysing observations to plan individualized learning
- Facilitating child-centred and adult-led learning opportunities
- Reflecting on professional and personal development

Benefits
- Wage: £12,480 to £19,827.60 per year (depending on age)
- Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday - Friday, shifts to be confirmed
- Duration: 1 year 2 months (13 months)
- Training: Early years educator (level 3) qualification, first aid qualification, online training (10 days over 13 months)
- Support: Dedicated assessor and nursery mentor
- Future Prospects: Potential for Room Leader positions, management training, roles in primary education or pediatric nursing, and continuous professional development.

About Richborough Nursery Richborough Nursery is a private, home-based nursery located in Cricklewood, catering to children aged 6 months to 5 years. It offers a nurturing, home-like environment and operates Monday to Friday, 8 am to 6 pm, for 50 weeks a year.
