Salary £16,640- £26,437 (depending on experience and qualifications with regular pay reviews)

Our Elan Day Nursery in Haywards Heath, is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Early Years Assistant to join our team. You will play a key role in caring for, supporting and inspiring our children, encouraging curiosity and helping them thrive every day.

About Our Nursery

  • Caring for babies and toddlers aged 3 months to 3 years
  • Dedicated rooms for each age group to support development and transitions
  • Safe, enclosed garden and indoor studio garden for year-round outdoor play
  • Activities include climbing, sand play, and gardening
  • Engaging experiences such as music, yoga, sports, library visits, and cooking
  • Encouraging creativity, confidence, and learning through play

Location and Travel

What You Will Be Doing

  • Supervise and support children at all times
  • Prepare and lead activities under guidance of Level 3 practitioners
  • Help maintain an attractive and welcoming environment
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and operational practices
  • Maintain a positive attitude with children, parents, visitors, and colleagues
  • Attend staff meetings, planning sessions, and required training
