The Role: Early Years Assistant

As an Early Years Assistant, you’ll work within a dedicated team to care for babies and children up to the age of 5. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting interactive play, activities, and reading to stimulate each child’s curiosity and development
  • Ensuring each child meets their key milestones
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment

Requirements

Ideal but not essential:

  • Previous experience working with children (Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder, etc.)

You’ll need:

  • A passion for making learning fun and engaging
  • The ability to develop trust-based partnerships with colleagues and parents
  • Skills in varying communication techniques with both children and adults
