Early Years Educator – Kiddi Caru Day Nursery, Hengrove

About the Role

Join Kiddi Caru in Bristol, part of the child-focused Grandir UK group, as a dedicated Early Years Educator at our Hengrove nursery. You’ll play a pivotal role in inspiring young children, nurturing their curiosity, and fostering positive growth through a supportive, child-centred environment.


Ideal Candidate Profile

You’ll thrive if you possess: ✔ A passion for early childhood education and creating enriching learning spaces ✔ Strong organisational and leadership skills to support staff and uphold nursery standards ✔ A nurturing, empathetic approach to caring for children of all ages ✔ Excellent communication with parents, colleagues, and children

Leadership focus: Ensuring EYFS compliance, staff supervision, and parent engagement to maintain high-quality early years provision.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding care: upholding EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) standards in Baby Beans, Runner Beans, and Jelly Beans rooms.
  • Supervise team members: train and mentor playroom staff, allocating resources and responsibilities.
  • Relationships & communication:
    • Provide thoughtful progress updates to parents/carers.
    • Build positive rapport between staff, children, and families.
    • Support marketing and reputation through referrals and promotions.
  • Safeguarding & safegueguard adherence: Comply with strict DBS checks (enhanced) and safeguarding training.
  • Educational excellence:
    • Monitor and enhance learning areas, sensory play, and thematic activities.
    • Adapt activities to each child’s stage of development.
