Early Years Educator – Bank Staff

Muddy Boots Nursery, Poppleton YO26 6QD

£13.20 – £13.60 per hour (age 21+)

Part-time (1-5 days per week)

Looking for better work–life balance in early years?

We are looking to expand our existing pool of Bank Staff at our Poppleton Nursery.

Our flexible bank staff are essential in providing support to the permanent staff at each setting to cover staff holidays, training days and unplanned staffing needs.

This flexible working pattern is ideal for anyone who loves working in the nursery sector, but also wants the flexibility to work the days that suit them as well as having the opportunity to work with other teams and children.

At Muddy Boots Poppleton, we’re proud to be an award-winning nursery, recognised for delivering exceptional early years education through meaningful outdoor learning.

Everything we do is guided by our core values — Heart, Excellence, Growth, Teamwork and Responsibility — and they shape how we care for children, support families and look after each other as a team.

We particularly welcome applications from experienced Level 3 Early Years Educators or those with proven experience of working within the early years sector.

Key Responsibilities

About The Role

As a member of our bank staff team at Muddy Boots, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, nature-based learning experiences that inspire curiosity, confidence and independence.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
