Early Years Educator – Nursery Setting

Job Type: Permanent Location: BS14, Bristol Contract: Full-time and part-time opportunities available Salary: Negotiable (dependent on experience and qualifications) Start Date: ASAP


About The Role

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Early Years Educator to join a welcoming nursery in the BS14 area of Bristol. This role involves working across all areas of the nursery, supporting children of different ages and stages of development.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate practitioner committed to providing high-quality care and education, helping children learn, develop, and thrive in a safe and nurturing environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
  • Work across all age groups within the nursery as required
  • Plan and engage children in fun, stimulating, and age-appropriate activities
  • Support social, emotional, and physical development
  • Build positive relationships with children, colleagues, and parents/carers
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and inclusive environment at all times
  • Observe, assess, and record children’s progress effectively
  • Follow safeguarding policies and procedures

About You

We are seeking individuals who:

  • Have prior experience working in a nursery or early years setting (essential)
  • Hold a relevant Early Years qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 preferred)
  • Have a strong understanding of the EYFS framework
  • Are enthusiastic, caring, and passionate about early childhood development
  • Are flexible and confident working with various age groups
  • Possess strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Are committed to providing a high standard of care and education

Essential Criteria

  • Able to work 5 days per week
  • Right to work in the UK (cannot accept sponsorship or skilled worker visas)
  • Two recent references (covering the last two years)
  • Up-to-date DBS/police check, or willingness to obtain one
    • Note: If no existing Non-Voluntary Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, applicants may need to arrange a new check (cost: £62.70, refunded after 20 days of employment).
