Are you a dedicated Early Years professional who loves seeing the world through a child's eyes? Do you want to work in a setting where your creativity is valued, and your professional growth is supported?

We are looking for individuals to work in friendly, high-quality nurseries in and around Haverhill. All settings are committed to providing nurturing, adventurous, and safe environments where children aged 0-5 can explore, learn, and grow. We are looking for an enthusiastic Nursery Practitioners to join our team to work in temporary and longer-term roles.

The Role

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be a key person for a small group of children, tracking their development and creating a warm, stimulating environment that sparks curiosity and a love for learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver the EYFS: Plan and implement inspiring, age-appropriate activities that support all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Key Person Duties: Observe, assess, and record the development of your key children, ensuring their individual emotional and educational needs are met.
  • Care and Well-being: Provide high-quality physical and emotional care, assisting with routines such as mealtimes, sleep times, and personal hygiene.
  • Parent Partnership: Maintain open, positive communication with parents and carers, providing daily feedback on their child's day and milestones.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the wider nursery team to maintain a safe, clean, and beautifully resourced environment.

We are looking for team players with a genuine love for early childhood education, excellent communication skills, and a warm, patient nature.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Qualifications: Level 3 Full and Relevant Early Years qualification (e.g., EYE, NVQ Level 3 in Childcare) is preferred, though passionate Level 2 practitioners working towards Level 3 will be considered.
  • Knowledge: A solid understanding of the EYFS framework, safeguarding procedures, and child protection policies.
  • Skills: Strong organisational skills and the ability to build quick rapport with children and their families.
  • Bonus: Valid Paediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene certificates are highly desirable (though training can be provided).
