Early Years Practitioner

# Nursery – Early Years Practitioner Bright Horizons, Barrow

Salary & Location

  • £29,203.20 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience)
  • Location: Barrow General Hospital, Barrow (near Barrow In Furness train station)

The Role

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will:

  • Plan, implement, and reflect on engaging, child-focused activities tailored to individual development.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive environment where children feel encouraged to think, explore, and build a lifelong love of learning.

Your work will help shape their key milestones while ensuring creativity and fun are at the heart of every learning experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create stimulating learning environments aligned with each child’s development.
  • Encourage expression, engagement, and confidence through play-based activities.
  • Build trusting relationships with children, parents/carers, and colleagues.
  • Model and uphold safeguarding best practices.

Requirements

  • Qualification: Full and relevant Level 3 or higher Early Years qualification.
  • Skills & Attitude:
    • Passion for creating fun, inclusive, and individualised learning experiences.
    • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
    • Comprehensive knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
    • Ability to collaborate with parents/carers and colleagues to build supportive relationships.
