Early Years Practitioner

Nursery – Bright Horizons Worthing Day Nursery and Preschool

Salary & Location

  • £27,010 per annum (starting salary, dependent on qualifications and experience)
  • Worthing

The Role

Join us as a [Level 2 Early Years Practitioner] to deliver exceptional care and education for preschool children. In this hands-on role, your passion for nurturing young minds will flourish in a supportive, team-focused environment. You’ll:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities tailored to each child’s needs
  • Guide devlopmental milestones while ensuring a safe, emboldening space for exploration and creativity
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and carers to create inclusive learning environments
  • Receive proactive mentorship to grow your knowledge in safeguarding, EYFS, and child psychology

Key Responsibilities

✅ Design enriching programmes aligned to [Early Years Foundation Stage] (EYFS) ✅ Monitor wellbeing with adaptive, child-centric approaches ✅ Embrace flexibility, cultural diversity, and plurality within teams ✅ Celebrate children’s freedom to grow while keeping challenges manageable

What We’re Looking For

  • Full and relevant Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Early Years Practice (Level 3 or above ideally)
  • Creativity and enthusiasm for building fun yet ambitious learning environments
  • Strong grasp of [EYFS framework stages] and its practical applications
  • Robust safeguarding knowledge (child protection policies, disclosures)
  • Empathy, adaptability, and ability to build rapid trust with families and peers

Requirements & Expectations

  • Enhanced DBS check required for all roles due to safeguarding obligations
  • Willingness to collaborate in a proactive, cohesive team
