Early Years Practitioner – Permanent

Contract & Employment Details

  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Hours: 33.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time only)
  • Salary:
    • Actual: £21,566 – £23,004 per annum
    • FTE: £27,693 – £29,539 per annum
    • Job Scale: NJC 10 – 14
  • Closing Date: Friday 10th July 2026 at 9am (or earlier if sufficient applications received)
  • Start Date: 1st September 2026
  • Interviews: Tuesday 14th July 2026

About the Role

Great Heath Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join their engaging primary academy.

We are looking for a positive and committed individual with:

  • Excellent knowledge of early years legislation
  • Deep understanding of child development and children’s needs
  • Strong working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • GCSE 4–9 (A–C) in English and Maths
  • A minimum Level 3 qualification within early years (e.g., Early Years Educator, NVQ in Childcare & Education)
  • A genuine passion for making a difference in young learners’ lives
