Early Years Practitioner (Level 3)

Location: Leiston

Salary: up to £26,600 per annum depending on experience

Contract/Hours: Permanent / Full Time – 40 hours per week - We also have a 12-month fixed term maternity cover post available.

Closing date: Midnight on the 22nd of July 2026

A bit about the role

As a Level 3 practitioner, you'll support high-quality early years care and education in a nurturing, play-based environment, helping children learn, develop, and thrive.

  • Deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS
  • Support children's learning, development, and well-being through play
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and the team

What we need from you

In the role of Early Years Practitioner (Level 3), we're ideally looking for someone who has:

  • A Level 3 early years and childcare qualification (NNEB, CACHE, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
  • A passion for continuous learning and growth, aligned with our core values and the Spring career pathway
  • An understanding of children's development needs (0 to 5 years)
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to excellence

A Bit about The Nursery

Spring Layfield is based at Layfield Primary School, caring for children aged 3 months to 4 years with a wrap-around and holiday provision including breakfast and after-school clubs for children up to 11 years.

Our two bright, child-centred rooms encourage independence and exploration, with free-flow access to beautiful outdoor areas, a forest school, and allotment. We're proud of our strong partnership with the primary school being fully engaged with the local community.
